Holiday Marketing is Already in Full Swing

The official kickoff of the holiday shopping season is still weeks away, but in the minds of marketers, it’s already begun. According to the 2015 Online Retail Survey from ChannelAdvisor, 59% of retailers in the US and UK have already launched their holiday campaigns – a 20% increase in the US over last year.

Of those retailers, 44% report Black Friday as the most profitable day of the year.

The report credits the early bird strategies to higher earnings in 2014 after an earlier than usual holiday marketing season.

For email marketers, that means planning email campaigns far in advance to take advantage of early shoppers. We recommend Calendarretailers push their first big send on the 1st Monday of November in order to take advantage of Black Friday shoppers.
