5 Sessions to Attend at Salesforce Connections 2015

From Tuesday through Thursday this week, Movable Ink will be attending Salesforce Connections at the Javits Center in New York City. We’re really excited to get on the floor and talk to sales and marketing professionals about the power of contextual marketing. If you’re around, stop by and say hello at Booth 112.

There are going to be plenty of great sessions at the conference, too. Here are five that really caught our eye:

1. Email Integration Innovation for All Industries from Fleetcor and Flagstar Bank (Tuesday, 6/16 @ 4:30pm)

At Movable Ink, we love case studies that show great marketing in action, whether it’s how Nickelodeon used contextual content or Allen Edmonds used weather-targeting to create temperature-specific sales.

This session at 4:30pm on Tuesday looks very intriguing, promising to take attendees through how data-driven emails can help boost open rates and engagement significantly.

2. How L’Oreal Australia Creates Mobile Experiences for On-the-Go Customers (Tuesday, 6/16 @ 2:30pm)

Google has recently delved into new buzzword territory with the term “micro-moment.” In other words, the moments that break up the linear path customers traditionally took from discovery to purchase.

The biggest challenge for mobile marketing is being able to keep track of that journey and offer customers the most relevant content. Through a combination of data and new technology, L’Oreal Australia managed to create a journey across apps, push notifications, and SMS.

Learn from Christophe Eymery, Head of Digital for L’Oreal Australia, exactly how this worked.

3. The New Financial Customer Journey: Tips and Tricks from Chemical Bank (Tuesday, 6/16 @ 3:30pm)

Traditionally, finance has had a harder time creating customer journeys across digital engagement initiatives. Although geo-targeted emails have helped personalize rewards programs, regulations, legacy systems, and siloed data can all hamper the approach to create a truly personalized experience.

In this session, John Hatfield, director of marketing for Chemical Bank, will take attendees through how to turn anonymous customers into loyal advocates and how to align business strategy with technology and operations.

Anyone who’s struggling to unite operations and the customer journey under a single banner could benefit from this session.

4. Fireside Chat (Wednesday, 6/17 @ 1pm)

Ever wanted to see Seth Meyers in person? Well, now’s your chance to see the acclaimed host of the aptly named “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

Seth Meyers will be talking alongside fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg in a fireside chat… presumably about sales and marketing, but who knows? One thing’s for sure – it’s Seth Meyers, so it’s bound to be worth it if you can get a seat!

5. CMO Panel (Wednesday, 6/17 @ 1:30pm)

From the fireside chat, attendees may want to go right to the CMO Panel afterwards. Gary Briggs, CMO & President for Facebook will talk alongside John Osborn, President & CEO of BBDO and Lynn Vojvodick, CMO & Executive VP for Salesforce.

With three marketing execs in the room for some of the most innovative companies in the world, the insights are sure to be worth your time.
